Lemon Grass is a culinary herb that comes with an excellent aroma. It is also used as a medicinal herb in India. It has a subtle citrusy flavour and can be used fresh or even dried and powdered.
Storage and Uses
Lemongrass can be loosely wrapped and refrigerated for several weeks. Alternatively, for long term storage, wrap it well and freeze it by chopping or mincing and then freezing it in 1-tablespoon bits (an ice cube tray is useful for this, freeze until hard and then transfer to a sealable plastic bag.
Lemongrass is added as dressings to marinades and stir-fries to grilled/roasted meats and seafood. Lemongrass tea is known for its unique flavour and makes you feel energetic for the entire day.
